Fin Vessel

Delicate and petite, but earthy and rugged, these beautiful vessels are so called because from certain angles they take on the shape of the fin of a whale.  Appropriately, these are made near the Aegean Sea in Greece by the talented Elena Vasilontaki.  Elenas work, hand shaped using clay and stoneware, all has an incredible natural and tactile feel, representing a connection to the earth and ancient craft. 

 

We have three of these special pieces, made to the same dimensions but with a sense of individuality. They work well individually or as a pair or group of three.  Place on a shelf, on a book, or a coffee table.  They each have an air of simplicity and rugged elegance.
